VE Bus BMS NG
The VE.Bus BMS NG is an all-in-one Battery Management System (BMS) for Victron Lithium NG batteries (not compatible with Lithium Battery Smart batteries ), designed for systems with Victron inverters or inverter/chargers using VE.Bus communication. It monitors and protects batteries against overvoltage and undervoltage of each individual cell, as well as overtemperature or undertemperature conditions.
With built-in Bluetooth, the BMS offers central monitoring via VictronConnect. The BMS retrieves all key parameters, such as voltage, current, charge status, and individual cell data, directly from the battery, eliminating the need for a separate SmartShunt.
The lithium NG batteries can be configured in series, parallel, or a combination of both, and support 12V, 24V, and 48V systems. A maximum of 50 batteries can be used in 12V or 24V banks, and 25 batteries in 48V banks, allowing for up to 192 kWh (12V), 384 kWh (24V), and 128 kWh (48V) of storage. Multiple Lynx Smart BMS units can be connected in parallel to expand capacity and ensure redundancy.
Main features:
- Bluetooth Smart: The VE.Bus BMS NG features Bluetooth Smart for wireless configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates via the VictronConnect app. Instant Readout displays important data such as charge status, battery temperature, warnings, and alarms directly in the device list, without needing to connect.
- Load Disconnect output: Controls the remote on/off input of a BatteryProtect, inverter, DC-DC converter, or other loads with remote on/off functionality to prevent deep discharge.
- Charge Disconnect output: Controls the remote on/off port of chargers such as the Smart IP43 charger, a Cyrix-Li-Charge relay, a Cyrix-Li-ct battery combiner or a BatteryProtect, to prevent overvoltage.
- Pre-alarm output: Provides early warning of low battery voltage before switching off loads. Can control a relay, LED, or buzzer.
- Remote on/off control: Allows remote control of both the load shutoff and charger shutoff outputs.
- LED Indicators: Includes a blue LED for Bluetooth status and a red LED for warnings and errors.
